Our active ingredients.

For: Moisturising the scalp, reducing flaking, diminishing inflammation, and increasing hydration and skin smoothness.

Found in:The Baby Wash

Clinically proven to increase skin hydration and smoothness, keeping your bubba’s skin and scalp smooth and glossy, whilst simultaneously reducing moisture loss. Other than that, we’ll leave the pronunciation of jojoba to you.

For: Sleep assistance, irritability and restlessness.

Found in: The Baby Wash and The Baby Lotion.

A naturally occurring mineral for all skin types, including sensitive and eczema prone ones, magnesium supports a healthy skin barrier, and is said to calm while reducing redness and inflammation. And, it’s why our bubbles, bubble — so it stays on the skin longer for that goodness absorption every time.

For: Ultimate Hydration and all skin types.

Found in: The Baby Wash, The Baby Lotion and The Baby Oil.

An exceptional hydrator, squalane can prevent the ongoing loss of hydration that impairs dermal suppleness. Not to be confused with squalene — small spelling difference, but bigger ‘what it is’ difference. Squalane is a saturated and stable hydrocarbon that is found naturally in the skin. In fact, babies in utero already make a version of squalane which helps protect their skin for the few hours postpartum.

For: Promoting relaxation and encouraging patience.

Found in: The Baby Lotion.

An ultra soothing and calming essential oil, Roman chamomile aids hot, inflamed, sensitive and dry skin. Plus, its general effect is relaxing and balancing — something us parents could also do with (reminder: ask your partner for a massage using The Baby Lotion).

For: Digestive health and skin microbiota.

Found in: The Baby Lotion.

Extracted from chicory root, inulin acts as a prebiotic and feeds a select group of beneficial organisms. This, in turn, supports the skin’s microbiota, meaning that skin problems are prevented or recover faster — almost more potion than lotion.

For: Reducing flaking and cracking of dry skin.

Found in: The Baby Lotion.

A fibre that promotes the growth of beneficial organisms, it’s considered a prebiotic, leaving the skin soft and supple, whilst also another emollient, reducing water loss from the top layer of the skin. It nourishes beneficial bacteria of the skin and thus makes the skin healthier, (wealthier, and wise).

For: Nourishing and revitalising dry skin.

Found in: The Baby Oil.

With its abundance of vitamins A, B, and E, essential fatty acids and lipids, camellia oil is a non-fragrant plant oil that penetrates the deepest layers of the skin. Ultra-nourishing and revitalising, it helps to firm and tone all skin types, making it feel incredibly soft and smooth – especially those that require special care and protection.

For: Soothing, healing and repairing irritated skin.

Found in: The Baby Wash, The Baby Lotion and The Baby Oil.

Extracted from the orange marigold blossom, calendula is renowned for its calming, soothing, anti-inflammatory and healing properties. The flowers contain flavonoids with potent antioxidants, which assist with the circulation, and the formation of new tissue. And that’s why it’s found in all of our products.

For: Hydrating, calming and soothing eczema and dermatitis.

Found in: The Baby Wash and The Baby Lotion.

Often referred to as an oil, jojoba is technically a pure, luxurious liquid wax ester. Rich in vitamin E and minerals, its benefits are anti-inflammatory to antibacterial, with superb skin softening properties. With its rapid absorption, it’s particularly effective for dry and scaly scalps like cradle cap. Still working on that jojoba pronunciation.

For: Normalising oil production and reducing inflammation.

Found in: The Baby Wash.

Having been used to soothe skin for around 2500 years, aloe vera is renowned for its healing properties. With active constituents (including B vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids) it’s a remarkable skin food with excellent protective properties for all skin types — including sunburn from that aggressive Australian sun.

For: Forming a protective skin barrier to help reduce infections.

Found in: The Baby Oil

Sunflower seed oil is a dream; rich in antioxidants and vitamins A, C, and E — it moisturises and cleanses the skin (and keeps acne under control, FYI). Containing essential fatty acids attributed to boosting skin cell turnover, it is one of the most research-backed ingredients in skin care. Sunflower seed oil comes recommended by the World Health Organization with medical papers proving its ability to not only moisturize, but also enhance the skin’s barrier protection. Just a few reasons why we love it – and why you should, too.

When in doubt, leave it out. Ingredients we say no to.
