The History

It was late one Sunday night around an outdoor fire at ‘Mountain Run’, that the idea of Seven Sundays came to be. The property ‘Mountain Run’, was established in 1890, the sprawling homestead was built in 2004, and has been the private getaway for the Flowers family and their friends since that time.

Friends, and the Directors of Catalyst Brands, Les Hill and David Flowers, have a similar approach to life. Work hard, and enjoy the fruits of your labour. Simple. They often escape the pace of Sydney and head up to the farm, where local produce and Australian wine is always waiting at the end of the day, and it was after a meal and a few glasses of red wine that the boys started to throw around the idea of their own wine label.

With a diverse collective experience including hospitality and the service industries, the boys believe that they have a good idea of what people enjoy. The result is a range of hand crafted wines that fit in with the idea of their friendship – easy going, reliable, relaxed and dependable. The debut collection from Seven Sundays includes a Sauvignon Blanc Semillon, a Shiraz Cabernet and a Sparkling white, with a Hunter Valley Chardonnay to follow in January 2010.

Seven Sundays wine is available in quality bottle shops, bars and restaurants now.
